Automobile dealerships routinely encounter a multitude of legal issues including, but not limited to, regulatory compliance, contract disputes, and tort claims, which often result in prolonged litigation.
Mediation and arbitration generally provide an effective alternative to lengthy and costly court cases. Exposure to some of the pros and cons of mediation and arbitration will better enlighten general counsel and management regarding the purpose, procedure,
benefits and areas of concern pertaining to the utilization of the various alternative dispute resolution methods. This session will also address the appropriateness and legal considerations for dealers incorporating mediation and arbitration provisions into
various consumer and commercial transactions.
